We are ROADSALT and only want to make your recovery baths better. Yet – to do this we’ll need to review how our website is performing and collect information to best serve you.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it…

 

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

 

Contact forms

We use Mailchimp to provide elective GDPR compliant email updates. You can unsubscribe at the bottom of the emails.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website

Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent, trade, license or otherwise disclose your specific personal information or financial information to anyone other than to affiliates under Rubric Creative Communication Ltd’s control, except that we sometimes use others to perform specific functions on our behalf. We share your Personal Information with the following third parties:

Google Analytics

We use google analytics to measure and improve our services. Please refer to the appropriate Google Analytics documentation for the specific type of data it collects.

WooCommerce

We run WooCommerce  and Google Analytics simultaneously and have all purchase tracking explicitly enabled, purchase events will send Google Analytics the following information: order number, product id and name, product category, total cost, and quantity of items purchased.

This feature also sends page view events (and potentially video play events) over to Google Analytics for consumption. As we are a WooCommerce-powered store – some additional events are also sent to Google Analytics: shopping cart additions and removals, product listing views and clicks, product detail views, and purchases.

Delivery services

In order to deliver your goods we’ll of course need to share your details with our delivery services. Further information on who we are currently using is available from our Data Protection Officer privacy@roadsaltbath.com

Regulators

If required to do so we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

APIs

Please know that we will need to share details with the following API providers, who’s policies can be found on their respective websites:

  • Join our email list without ever leaving our website, thanks to Mailchimp API;
  • You can also checkout with Stripe without ever leaving your site, thanks to Stripe API;
  • Pay with payPal using the payPal API.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
